CONTRIBUTE TO KODIAK'S SUSTAINABLE FOOD FUTURE

Kodiak Harvest Food Co-op has the potential to increase production of and access to local, fresh, healthy foods that improve our community's physical and economic health. Your support for this project will help it succeed.

PARTICIPATE IN GOVERNANCE

Owners democratically participate in the co-op by running for a board position, voting in elections, holding office, or volunteering for one of our subcommittees. Only owners can run for elected board positions.

EQUITY INVESTMENT PROMISE

All investments carry some degree of risk, but we promise to be good stewards and use your investment wisely as we work toward store opening.  All member equity is being held in an interest bearing account and is not being used for financing activities at this stage in the project.

PROFIT SHARING

Once the store is open, co-op owners will receive a portion of the co-op's profit annually in the form of patronage dividend rebates.  If you are on a payment plan, your dividend will be applied to your remaining outstanding equity balance until paid in full.  These rebates will be proportionate to your annual purchases and mailed in June.  The Board of Directors will be responsible for determining what percentage of profits to distribute.  By law, co-ops are required to distribute at least 20% of an owner’s accumulated patronage.
