Owners Grow to over 300 after Uptown Shop the Rock & the Fall Women's Show

October 6 & 7th was a busy and successful weekend of community engagement, where almost our entire board participated in one or both events.

Despite 30-40+ mph winds and cold temperatures, our board members upheld their commitment to represent Kodiak Harvest at the Uptown Shop the Rock event on October 6, where musical guest Drew Sablon entertained the outdoor crowd with his guitar and vocals with a great mix of cover tunes. The party moved inside Ardinger's once it got dark, thanks to the support of Kodiak Harvest owners Alex and Casey Turner. Many thanks to our dedicated Marketing Committee member, Sarah Culbertson, who is also and owner and coordinated the event and made arrangements for us to participate.

In addition to Uptown Shop the Rock, the Fall Women’s Show was held October 6-7th at the Kodiak Convention Center and is one of our favorite events to promote the co-op. It’s friendly, casual atmosphere lends itself to conversation and opportunity to talk with current or potential owners about our project. We had a great time being part of the event and enjoyed getting to know our community better.

As a result of these events, we had the most successful owner recruitment weekend to date. 27 new owners joined, breaking the 300 owner mark! What does ownership mean? Visit https://www.kodiakharvest.org/memberbenefits to learn more.

Thank you Kodiak! Without you this project wouldn't exist.
