At our recent annual meeting, we shared news that we were getting ready to trial a vendor booth to sell produce, our locally roasted coffee, and other co-op branded goods at the Mid-Week Market downtown every Wednesday in front of the old AC store. In addition to food, the market is open to artists and other vendors to encourage diversity and broad participation as we all work to strengthen our local economy.
We want to support our local economy and the growers that are already supplying you with fresh greens and other produce. By connecting with our supplier Arctic Harvest Deliveries, we plan to bring a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in high demand or currently unavailable through our local producers to encourage our community to come and shop without worrying about limited supplies. If you have special requests for foods you'd like to see sold through the co-op, please stop by and let us know!
This week the weather has not cooperated, so we will have a limited amount of produce available. We will have a small amount of hydroponically grown fresh spring salad mix and maybe some dill at this first market while we gather your feedback. In the coming weeks, hydroponic spring mix, dill, english cucumbers, radishes, bok choy, basil, beets, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, apple cider vinegar and more will begin to be available.
We encourage all local vendors to get involved and help strengthen our local economy by participating and selling at the mid-week market with us.
Come visit us and let us know what products you'd like to purchase!
