The best way to be involved in the co-op is to own it.  If you support local businesses, sustainable practices, fair labor treatment, and love to cook and eat local food, we encourage you to join us. You will have an active role in shaping this business and community resource, and member-owners may be eligible for special benefits, like discounts and rebates.

We are always looking for enthusiastic, talented individuals who want to put their time and abilities into developing the Co-op as a community asset.  We are especially looking for people willing to share the co-op with our community, individuals who would like to assist with weekly food hub order fulfillment & pickup, as well as with business acumen who can help us navigate the opening of a store.

The Board plays a critical role in ensuring the continued success and health of this vital organization. It represents all the member-owners in developing and maintaining the vision and long-term viability of the Co-op. The Board monitors the operations of the stores via Policy. Governance, a system of oversight and accountability.

If you’re already a member-owner or don’t live in Kodiak, donating is a great way to help out.  Also, we will soon offer the option for individuals to invest funds in the form of loans that will be paid back with interest.

Here are a few ways to share the word about the co-op with family and friends:
1. Share our website and Facebook
2. Put up a poster (ask permission!)
3. Talk to your friends about our movement and have them get in touch.
